Meat Associate (Retail)

Location: Onsite at 3460 Saanich Rd, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada

Salary: CAD 18.70 per hour minimum

What you will do

• Keep the meat department clean, organized, properly zoned, and well-stocked.
• Rotate inventory and remove expired or unsellable products.
• Maintain accurate pricing, signing, labeling, markdowns, and clearance procedures.
• Follow food safety and cold chain practices, including temperature checks, thermometer calibration, product handling, and sell-by-date compliance.
• Take customer orders and prepare meat, cheese, fried chicken, and other deli products using slicers, stackers, rotisserie ovens, and deep fryers.
• Follow health, safety, hygiene, and company policies while supporting daily sales activities.

Requirements

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Availability for a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and potentially overnight hours.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift, and perform repetitive stocking and organizing tasks.
• Ability to lift inventory, equipment, or supplies weighing up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment.
