Licensed Optician (Optical Retail)

Location: Onsite at Sam’s Club, 4545 S Mooney Blvd, Visalia, California, United States

Hourly wage: $29.50–$37.50 per hour. Additional premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour may apply in specific circumstances.

What you will do

• Provide member service, identify needs, support purchasing decisions, resolve issues, and promote products and services.
• Sell optical products and services, including eyewear and contact lenses.
• Measure, adjust, and repair frames and lenses; complete eyewear and contact lens orders.
• Identify and verify prescription information, collect payments for doctor services, and perform and record optometric pretest results.
• Operate cash registers and process purchases, payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges.
• Receive, stock, organize, price, and maintain optical merchandise and displays while handling documentation, claims, returns, shrink, and damaged goods.

Requirements

• Licensed optician qualification is required for the position.
• Ability to provide optical product and service support, including frame and lens measurements, adjustments, repairs, and prescription verification.
• Ability to complete optical paperwork, forms, logs, and other required documentation.
• Ability to operate cash registers and follow procedures for different membership and payment types.
• Ability to work onsite at the Visalia, California Sam’s Club location.
