Licensed Optical Manager Full Time

Salary: $31.00–$39.50 per hour, plus potential manager bonus and spiff compensation.

What you will do

• Manage, supervise, train, coach, and develop Optical department team members.
• Provide optician services, including eyeglass adjustments, measurements, prescription readings with a lensometer, and product-readiness notifications.
• Schedule eye-exam appointments, answer calls, support Members, process eyewear orders, complete paperwork, and handle payments.
• Coordinate with the Club Manager, Regional Optical Manager, laboratory, and doctors on orders, department performance, maintenance, and doctor relations.
• Drive service, sales, profitability, and operational metrics while maintaining GOLD club standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and compliant Optical department, including accurate opening and closing procedures.

Requirements

• Active optician license to work in the state of New York, maintained in good standing.
• Demonstrated leadership experience supervising teams, training employees, and communicating results.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Open shift availability and regular, predictable full attendance.
• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma, college degree, or experience in wholesale, retail, optical, or management is preferred.
