Location: Remote in Texas, USA; candidates in Texas, particularly within driving distance of Houston, are preferred. Domestic travel of 5–50% may be required for client coordination, agency engagement, and field work. U.S. work authorization is required through the E-Verify process.
Salary: $79,400–$136,500 per year, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do
- Manage environmental review, permitting, and compliance tasks for natural gas pipelines, electric transmission lines, and related facilities.
- Analyze environmental impacts and support project applications and permit approvals.
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies on permitting and compliance requirements.
- Conduct biological field surveys, stormwater inspections, and related reporting as needed.
- Produce and technically edit large, detailed project documents.
- Collaborate with internal project managers, task managers, and external clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental studies, environmental engineering, water resources, geology, biology, natural resources, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of environmental permitting experience, preferably in the energy industry.
- 3–5 years of experience or familiarity with permitting processes involving agencies such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, NPDES, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, FERC, and State Historic Preservation Offices.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, analytical, and task-management skills.
- Ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and perform effectively under pressure.
- Willingness to travel domestically 5–50% and participate in field work when required.
Nice to have
- 1–2 years of project management or deputy project management experience.
- Experience with energy-sector permitting and regulatory compliance.
- Location within a one-hour drive of Houston, Texas.
