Utility Advisory Consultant (All Levels)

Location: Denver, Colorado, United States; hybrid working with at least 2 days per week in the office or on client site, and potentially up to 5 days per week depending on the assignment.

Salary range: $120,000–$250,000 per year.

What you will do

• Research industry topics, gather and interpret data, and conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Develop insights and client deliverables including reports, presentations, and strategic frameworks.
• Support or lead stakeholder engagement, workshops, transformation initiatives, and client workstreams.
• Advise utility clients on energy transition, decarbonization, operations, systems, customer transformation, and digital innovation.
• Contribute to proposals, business development, and the development of client solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Requirements

• 3 to 10+ years of experience in utilities, either in industry or consulting.
• Experience with electric, gas, water/wastewater utilities, or related advisory work.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, or willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, stay organized, and manage multiple tasks.
• Willingness to travel and interest in strategy, digital transformation, data, and AI applications in utilities.

Nice to have

• Consulting, utility, or regulatory experience leading workstreams or engagements.
• Strong client-facing skills and experience managing complex projects.
• Experience contributing to proposals and shaping solutions for clients.
