Maintenance & Reliability Manager (Oil and Gas)

Location: Remote within the United States, with on-site meetings and project-site visits expected nationwide. Initial work site: Washington, DC.

What you will do

• Provide independent engineering advisory support for DOE Energy Dominance Financing technical due diligence, credit evaluation, lifecycle monitoring, and assurance activities.
• Evaluate maintenance programs, reliability strategies, asset availability, failure modes, operational resilience, and long-term asset performance.
• Review project documentation, data rooms, technical and commercial interfaces, assumptions, risks, mitigations, and conditions-precedent evidence.
• Prepare defensible outputs including RCM/FMEA analyses, maintenance KPIs, backlog reviews, downtime analyses, reliability improvement plans, and Independent Engineer reports.
• Participate in borrower and contractor interviews, site observations, monitoring meetings, risk-register updates, draw-package checks, and issue-closure tracking.
• Coordinate with engineering, finance, legal, construction, operations, environmental, HSE, and project-controls stakeholders.

Requirements

• Availability to work remotely from within the United States and attend on-site meetings or project-site visits nationwide.
• 10+ years of relevant engineering, construction, operations, compliance, risk, finance, or energy-infrastructure advisory experience.
• Experience with oil and gas, power, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects for owners, lenders, independent engineers, or federal clients.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, construction management, business, risk management, finance, or a related field.
• Experience with independent engineering reviews, technical due diligence, risk assessment, maintenance strategy, reliability performance, data-room review, report writing, Excel-based analysis, and stakeholder coordination.
• Technical judgment, independence, analytical rigor, attention to detail, defensible documentation, issue escalation, and the ability to translate technical evidence into financing and risk implications.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as PMP, CQA, CIA, ISO Lead Auditor, CHMM, CSP, or PMI-RMP.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word; familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio.
