Production Engineer - Hybrid Schedule (Oil and Gas)

Location: Midland, Texas, United States; hybrid schedule with 80% office and 20% outdoor job-site work, plus weekly travel to field locations. Must currently live in or be willing to move to Midland.

What you will do

• Provide well operations engineering support for safe and efficient well work in Permian EOR fields.
• Complete well operations engineering assignments and coordinate with surveillance, development, operations, and geoscience teams.
• Maintain workover and completion rig schedules and coordinate rig moves with field teams.
• Manage tubing and casing inventory, prepare material requests, and coordinate with Procurement.
• Manage and forecast OPEX and CAPEX budgets, including Major Project Review reporting.
• Support field development projects, technical documentation, and multidisciplinary project discussions.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• 4–10 years of relevant oil and gas experience, with an emphasis on downhole operations.
• Practical knowledge of oilfield operations and experience with oil and gas financial management and reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data management, and data manipulation.
• Strong teamwork, communication, organization, and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, weekly field travel, and availability for after-hours, night, weekend, holiday, and on-call work.

Nice to have

• IADC Well Control certification.
• Experience with CO2 floods.
• Experience working with well operations contractors around existing assets.
