Reliability Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: US Remote (West), supporting multiple manufacturing sites across North America; travel across the plant network is required.

What you will do

• Identify major failure drivers and lead bad-actor elimination and unplanned-downtime reduction across multiple plants.
• Establish asset criticality registers and facilitate risk-based prioritization with operations, maintenance, and HSE.
• Lead root cause analysis, FMEA, corrective-action development, and failure-elimination initiatives.
• Develop preventive, predictive, condition-based, lubrication, and Reliability-Centered Maintenance strategies.
• Translate reliability improvements into CMMS work orders, PM updates, job plans, and weekly scheduling backlogs.
• Standardize reliability practices, coach site personnel, track KPIs, and support asset lifecycle and continuous-improvement decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
• Experience in reliability, maintenance, or engineering within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of RCA, FMEA, preventive maintenance, and predictive maintenance.
• Experience with CMMS/EAM systems such as SAP PM, Maximo, or Infor.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel across the North American plant network is required.

Nice to have

• CMRP or CRE certification.
• Experience with vibration analysis, thermal imaging, ultrasonic testing, and lubrication programs.
• Knowledge of RCM, TPM, asset criticality assessment, statistical analysis, and reliability KPIs.
• Experience supporting multi-site networks, leading continuous-improvement initiatives, or developing maintenance training programs.
• Familiarity with PSM and mechanical integrity requirements in chemical or process manufacturing.
