Strategic Sourcing Senior Advisor (IT Services)

Location: Chicago, Illinois; hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home

Base pay: $102,000–$184,300 annually, plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Develop and execute category strategies for IT consulting, IT managed services, IT outsourcing, staff augmentation, and related technology-enabled services.
• Lead RFPs, RFIs, market assessments, supplier evaluations, and complex sourcing initiatives.
• Partner with business and technology leaders to define requirements and align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
• Perform market research, financial analysis, supplier benchmarking, cost modeling, pricing evaluation, and total cost of ownership assessments.
• Lead negotiations covering contracts, MSAs, SOWs, rate cards, service-level agreements, pricing structures, and other commercial terms.
• Drive supplier performance, risk mitigation, innovation, cost reduction, cost avoidance, supplier consolidation, and value realization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in procurement, supplier management, or category management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strategic thinking, analytical skills, business acumen, and the ability to influence and advise business stakeholders.
• Strong executive presence with excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
• Conflict resolution skills and consistent thought leadership.

Nice to have

• Degree in business, finance, supply chain, engineering, or a related field; MBA or master’s degree.
• Experience sourcing and negotiating IT professional services and complex commercial agreements.
• Experience with business cases, financial analysis, supplier benchmarking, cost modeling, and total cost of ownership analysis.
• Knowledge of BPO, technology-enabled service delivery models, e-Procurement, Procure-to-Pay, and contracting systems.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities.
