Strategic Product Manager (Health Insurance)

Location: IL - Chicago; flex hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote

Base pay: $84,400–$152,300 annually, plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Manage existing health insurance products and contribute to strategies for next-generation product solutions.
• Support the full product lifecycle from ideation through market launch.
• Analyze market trends, develop marketing strategies, and assess product performance.
• Develop marketing collateral, training materials, and client reports while monitoring product results and refreshing pricing.
• Partner with sales and account management to position products for critical client opportunities.
• Build relationships across departments and support product administration, launch, and reengineering initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience, or 8 years of strategic planning, product management, or product development experience; alternatively, a master’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience working with staff, management, and executive leadership across multiple departments.
• Experience leading and mentoring staff and working effectively within a team environment.
• Business and financial analysis, market research, sales and marketing, communication, presentation, and group facilitation skills.
• Project management skills with strong organization, prioritization, problem-solving, flexibility, and deadline management.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Health insurance or healthcare industry experience.
• Responsibility for administering a product or product line from inception through launch and performance monitoring.
• Experience working directly with clients, benefit consultants, or brokers.
