Clearance Broker Associate with English

What you will do

• Review shipment data and documentation to identify customer and regulatory requirements and verify accuracy and completeness.
• Use in-house systems to prepare accurate and legally compliant customs clearance declarations.
• Contact customers and government agencies to clarify shipment information when needed.
• Resolve routine customer and customs disputes and recommend suitable clearance services.
• Build effective customer relationships while working within tight deadlines in a busy office environment.

Requirements

• Good teamwork skills and experience contributing to performance in a busy office environment.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and PC-based systems.
• Customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to make sound numerical decisions under time pressure.
• English communication skills are required.

Nice to have

• Experience or working knowledge of customs clearance principles, import/export processes, and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of CHIEF entries and commercial flight processing.
