Manager Facilities Management & Material Handling Maintenance (m/f/d)

Location: Onsite across multiple sites in Germany, including Langenhagen, Hamburg, Essen, Berlin, Kassel, Dietzenbach, Cologne, Wiesbaden, Kabelsketal, and Mannheim. The scope covers facilities in northern Germany, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway.

What you will do

• Lead a team responsible for facilities and material handling maintenance management.
• Maintain technical building equipment and intralogistics systems to support operational continuity.
• Plan, schedule, and control annual building services maintenance across the sites.
• Coordinate fault and downtime reports, repairs, refurbishments, and build-out requests.
• Manage service provider performance, contractual compliance, and maintenance expectations.
• Develop and implement maintenance concepts, initiatives, technical solutions, and monthly maintenance reporting.

Requirements

• Degree in facility management, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related business or technical field.
• Strong technical expertise and knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, plant equipment, and building services.
• Basic knowledge of heating, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical engineering.
• Profound German and English language skills are required.
• Several years of experience leading technical teams, evaluating performance requirements, setting priorities, and coordinating suppliers or internal staff.
• Strong communication, planning, organizational, contractual, and problem-solving skills.
