Maintenance Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Berlin, Germany; on-site manufacturing role at the Berlin Neukölln site.

What you will do

• Analyze equipment failures, machine disruptions, and production downtime to identify sustainable technical solutions.
• Coordinate planned and unplanned maintenance with internal stakeholders and external service providers.
• Review and accept completed maintenance work against functionality and quality standards.
• Act as the technical contact for a defined portfolio of production and metrology equipment.
• Manage technical sourcing for spare parts and external maintenance services.
• Develop preventive maintenance plans and implement equipment and process improvements to increase availability, reliability, and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical field, or an advanced technical qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Several years of maintenance engineering experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of complex production equipment, maintenance methodologies, and equipment reliability practices.
• Experience working with technical suppliers and external service providers.
• Professional English communication skills and business-fluent German required.
• Structured, analytical, solution-oriented, hands-on, and collaborative working style.
