Technical Project Manager (Satellites)

What you will do

• Own the program action-item tracker and drive closure across engineering subsystems and cross-functional partners.
• Lead weekly status meetings, risk reviews, and milestone look-aheads; publish meeting notes and follow-ups.
• Maintain the program risk register, track mitigation actions, and escalate unresolved risks to program leadership.
• Manage cross-subsystem dependencies and identify conflicts before they affect the schedule.
• Coordinate inputs and open items for SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR, and TRR reviews, ensuring artifacts are delivered on time.
• Prepare program status reports, align execution status with the integrated master schedule, and build repeatable project-management infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or a related technical field.
• At least 3 years of experience managing cross-functional hardware development programs or projects.
• Proficiency with project tracking tools such as JIRA, Smartsheet, Confluence, or MS Project.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Technical background sufficient to engage with engineers on hardware development topics.
• U.S. person status or eligibility for deemed export licensing is required because the role involves access to U.S.-controlled information and items.

Nice to have

• Experience leading or supporting large satellite or spacecraft development programs.
• PMP certification and familiarity with EVMS and formal program reviews.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, satellite subsystems, or spacecraft development lifecycles.
• Experience building project-management processes at a startup or scaling organization.
• Ability to work in a high-stress environment and adapt to abrupt changes in strategic direction.
