Training and Curriculum Specialist 1

Location: San Diego, California, United States; required in-office work Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Salary: $70,304–$75,900 per year.

What you will do

• Design and deliver training programs, presentation materials, curricula, seminars, and educational resources.
• Conduct training needs assessments and recommend appropriate learning solutions.
• Facilitate classroom training, teach adult learners, provide feedback, and support participant coaching and development.
• Coordinate training courses with local agencies and maintain knowledge of county resources, events, seminars, and workshops.
• Develop monthly training schedules, calendars, and administrative materials in partnership with other trainers.
• Monitor and document staff and participant progress while supporting program and contractual goals.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in training or workforce development; 1–2 years of experience teaching adults in classroom, workshop, or seminar settings.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of adult learner needs, training concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Strong oral, written, presentation, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Internet tools; ability to learn specialized databases and software.
• Ability to work with agencies, management, staff, and participants, including people with physical or mental disabilities, while maintaining confidentiality and respecting cultural differences.

Nice to have

• Experience in coaching and development.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word.
