Field Training Manager

Location: Chicago, Illinois, with the possibility of being based in New York City or another major metropolitan market; extensive travel required.

Salary: $76,000–$100,000 per year, with potential geographic premium, annual discretionary incentive, and equity awards.

What you will do

• Develop, launch, and continuously improve the retail learning strategy and scalable training programs.
• Create instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced learning materials, including playbooks, facilitator guides, videos, job aids, and certification programs.
• Build training for retail selling, luxury selling, discovery, clienteling, objection handling, closing, design consultation, service recovery, and signature service standards.
• Develop brand and product education covering hirify.global brands, design heritage, product storytelling, launches, and competitive selling.
• Lead training and launch readiness for new store openings and travel extensively to coach leaders, facilitate workshops, and reinforce field execution.
• Partner with HR, Store Operations, Product, Marketing, Sales Operations, IT, and Finance on operational training, change enablement, leadership development, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of progressive experience in retail training, learning and development, field leadership, or retail operations.
• Demonstrated success designing and facilitating scalable learning programs for instructor-led and virtual environments.
• Strong understanding of retail selling, customer experience, leadership development, and adult learning.
• Exceptional presentation, coaching, communication, project management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to influence without direct authority and build cross-functional partnerships.
• Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint proficiency, strong Microsoft Excel skills including reporting and learning metrics, and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Office applications; ability to travel extensively.

Nice to have

• Premium, luxury, specialty, or multi-unit retail experience.
• Experience with LMS and digital learning platforms.
• Multimedia and blended learning experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Retail Management, Organizational Development, or a related field.
