Lead Core Literacy Consultant

Location: US Remote; up to 65% travel, including overnight travel for pilot delivery, team coaching, and internal collaboration.

Salary: $69,250–$118,250 annually.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, manage, onboard, and develop a team of Core Literacy Specialists.
• Conduct co-observations and calibration sessions to maintain consistent, high-quality pilot delivery.
• Deliver pilot orientations, professional learning, classroom demonstrations, and consultative support as a player-coach.
• Build relationships with teachers, school leaders, and district leaders while helping solve implementation challenges.
• Aggregate team-wide pilot insights and connect complex instructional needs with internal specialists and leadership.
• Support the transition from pilot to adoption, including implementation planning and handoff to ongoing implementation teams.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in education with a strong focus on literacy instruction.
• Deep knowledge of evidence-based reading and writing instruction and elementary literacy implementation.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, or managing adult professionals, preferably in a remote or field-based setting.
• Successful classroom teaching experience in literacy and experience providing professional learning or instructional support.
• Bachelor’s degree in education, literacy, English language arts, or a related field.
• Strong facilitation, communication, organization, stakeholder-management, and digital-tool skills.

Nice to have

• Prior people-management experience.
• Experience teaching with a comprehensive core literacy program.
• Experience supporting curriculum implementation or participating in a curriculum pilot or adoption.
• Advanced degree in literacy, curriculum and instruction, or a related field.
