Core Literacy Consultant

Location: US Remote; national multi-state travel required, up to 80% with overnight travel.

Pay range: $60,750–$99,750 per year.

What you will do

• Develop expertise in core literacy programs and deliver pilot orientations and professional learning for teachers, coaches, and district leaders.
• Tailor training and consultation to educator experience, grade level, district needs, and evaluation context.
• Provide consultative support on lesson planning, pacing, instructional routines, resources, and classroom implementation.
• Demonstrate lessons, conduct classroom walkthroughs, and help educators connect instructional decisions with program design and student learning.
• Gather and communicate pilot insights, emerging challenges, and implementation patterns to internal specialists and field partners.
• Support districts during installation and the transition from pilot to full implementation.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in education with a strong focus on literacy instruction.
• Successful classroom teaching experience in literacy and experience providing professional learning, coaching, or instructional support.
• Deep knowledge of evidence-based reading and writing instruction and elementary literacy implementation.
• Exceptional facilitation, communication, observation, organization, and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Bachelor's degree in education, literacy, English language arts, or a related field.
• Ability to work remotely in the United States and travel nationally up to 80% with overnight stays.

• Experience teaching with a comprehensive core literacy program.
• Experience supporting curriculum implementation or participating in a curriculum pilot or adoption.
• Advanced degree in literacy, curriculum and instruction, or a related field.
