Integration Engineer I (HL7)

Location: Office in Querétaro, Mexico; travel up to 10% may be required, including car travel to off-site locations.

What you will do

• Analyze business workflows and gather technical and business requirements with clinical subject matter experts, application analysts, project teams, and vendors.
• Design and implement HL7 interfaces using Infor Cloverleaf or Rhapsody Corepoint Interface Engines and the Epic Bridges Interface Toolkit.
• Perform unit, functional, and integrated testing; document results and facilitate testing meetings.
• Deploy interface changes into production under change-control procedures and monitor ongoing performance.
• Support customer interfaces through Epic upgrades and new implementations, including maintenance of Bridges errors and work queues.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams while participating in after-hours support and implementation activities.

Requirements

• BS/BA in a related field or 2+ years of experience in healthcare integration, healthcare IT, software engineering, or a comparable field.
• Programming or scripting experience.
• Understanding of computer networking fundamentals, infrastructure, and technical terminology.
• Analytical, problem-solving, communication, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and participate in a remote work environment when required.
• Ability to work from the Querétaro, Mexico office and travel to off-site locations as needed.

Nice to have

• Epic Bridges certification.
• Experience with healthcare interface engines.
• Foundational knowledge of HL7, X12, HTTP(S), FHIR, and related healthcare interoperability frameworks.
