Engineer II - Java

Location: Remote in Mexico; Mexican citizens only

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable, reliable software solutions using clean and maintainable code.
• Build, deploy, and support applications across development, production release, and ongoing maintenance.
• Contribute to continuous integration, continuous delivery, cloud migration, test-driven development, and agile delivery practices.
• Work with defect tracking, source control, release systems, code reviews, and Scrum teams.
• Collaborate with business, infrastructure, and security teams on production enhancements and bug fixes.
• Participate in rotating 24x7 support shifts and assist with high-level technical analysis and solution design.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional software development experience, ideally across the full stack.
• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot, RESTful services, microservices, JSON, and XML.
• Experience with databases such as Spanner, NoSQL, or PostgreSQL, plus messaging middleware including Kafka or SQS.
• Experience with AWS or GCP services, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Experience analyzing, designing, coding, testing, installing, and maintaining complex software systems.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience; applicants must be Mexican citizens.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, React, JavaScript, or C#.
• Knowledge of additional technology stacks and agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or Lean.
