Despatch Operative (Supply Chain & Logistics)

Location: Sittingbourne, United Kingdom; on-site warehouse and yard role

Salary: £13.70 per hour, plus a 5% bonus scheme.

What you will do

• Prepare, pick, check, and dispatch customer orders for collections and outbound loading.
• Receive products from production and move raw materials, packaging, and finished goods to storage or loading areas.
• Operate forklifts and pump trucks to move products, equipment, and materials.
• Complete stock checks, rotate shelf-life products, restock chilled cold stores, and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Load vehicles and hauliers, process packaging returns, and ensure accurate distribution documentation.
• Maintain clean warehouse and yard areas and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience checking in and dispatching goods in a busy environment.
• Strong timekeeping, work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple stakeholder demands.
• Effective written and verbal communication and basic mathematics.
• Physical fitness and ability to work in chilled and ambient warehouse environments.
• Flexibility and ability to multitask.

Nice to have

• Current counterbalance forklift truck licence.
