Medical VA (Virtual Nurse US RN - CA State License Needed)

Location: Remote, Philippines only

Salary: $5–$7 per hour, commensurate with skills and experience

What you will do

• Manage and update patient records, medical histories, and treatment plans in EMR systems.
• Respond to patient inquiries by phone, email, and chat, and explain services clearly.
• Schedule appointments, manage calendars, and coordinate follow-up care.
• Collaborate with medical billing teams on coding and billing information.
• Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
• Coordinate communication and workflows with healthcare professionals and the remote team.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with US RN/NCLEX credentials and a California state license.
• Experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
• Proficiency with EMR systems, medical terminology, and clinical documentation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for explaining medical information to patients.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with medical billing and coding processes.
