Sr Cost Accountant (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Sparks, Nevada, United States. Must have valid authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction.

hirify.global manufactures cylindrical lithium-ion cells for electric vehicles and energy storage systems in collaboration with Tesla at a large battery factory near Reno, Nevada.

What you will do

• Support Operations managers and FP&A with production cost accounting and cost center expense analysis.
• Establish and maintain product costing, master data, and calculation methods in SAP S/4HANA.
• Calculate and investigate production, operational, purchasing, inventory, absorption, and purchase price variances.
• Support monthly financial close, production settlements, cycle counts, inventory audits, and manufacturing reporting.
• Perform general ledger reconciliations and review vendor invoices for raw material purchases.
• Maintain JSOX internal controls, support audits, and contribute to accounting policy and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• 4–6 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and accounting principles and procedures.
• Proficiency in SAP cost accounting and advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and database functions.
• Ability to work effectively in both office and manufacturing environments, operate independently, and handle confidential information.
• Working-level English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking, plus unrestricted U.S. work authorization.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, warehouse and stock management, manufacturing operations, or multi-application IT environments.
• Experience working with domestic and international teams.
• CMA, CPA, or MBA.
