Strategic IT Solutions Architect / Tech Lead (HHS)

Location: Hybrid in Columbia, Maryland, United States; three days in the office on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with two remote days. Candidates must be within commuting distance to Columbia, MD.

Salary: $115,000–$200,000 per year, plus a potential $25,000 signing bonus.

What you will do

• Collaborate with clients to understand strategic objectives and technical needs in healthcare IT.
• Design scalable and secure IT solutions for federal systems, including digital modernization, big data, and advanced analytics.
• Develop and deliver technical briefings and persuasive presentations to senior federal leadership.
• Advocate for and integrate emerging technologies, including AI and machine learning, into solution proposals.
• Provide strategic technical guidance and build relationships with federal decision-makers at HHS agencies, including CMS, FDA, and NIH.

Requirements

• Senior leadership experience as a Solutions Architect or Program Technical Lead supporting HHS.
• Expertise in cloud-first solutions, AWS, software development, and data management strategies.
• Experience delivering technical briefings to senior government officials.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; a master’s degree is highly desirable.
• Ability to attend regular in-person agency meetings and work three days per week in the Columbia office.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder who has resided in the United States for the past three years. Visa sponsorship is not available.
