Deputy IT Project Manager

Location: Remote-first within the United States, with occasional onsite support in Washington, DC coordinated with the Government

Salary: $150,000–$175,000 annually

What you will do

• Build and maintain project management and SAFe work products, including status reports, plans, trackers, and delivery metrics.
• Prepare and deliver briefings to Government stakeholders.
• Track deliverables, action items, risks, schedules, and blockers across a cross-functional program.
• Coordinate information flow across teams and organizations.
• Support PI Planning and program cadence alongside Agile practitioners.

Requirements

• 6+ years of project or program management experience.
• Experience implementing SAFe and working knowledge of the framework.
• Experience working in cross-functional environments and overseeing architecture and engineering work.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead across organizational levels and brief Government clients.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust suitability determination.

Nice to have

• Experience establishing an architectural baseline.
• PMP or SAFe Agilist certification.
• Experience supporting federal civilian or defense programs; GSA experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for program tracking and reporting.
