About the Role

You will lead product and platform engineering teams, support engineers through regular one-to-ones and career development, own delivery and technical direction, and maintain high standards for reliability, security, scalability, and software quality. You will also guide the adoption of AI coding tools by establishing effective workflows and guardrails.

Requirements

• Experience managing software engineers and owning team delivery and growth
• Strong background in infrastructure platform or backend systems
• Hands-on AWS experience
• Experience with infrastructure as code such as Terraform
• Experience with containers orchestration CI/CD and observability
• Strong coaching communication and collaboration skills
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code Cursor or GitHub Copilot
• Familiarity with TypeScript Node.js React and AWS

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop engineers across product and platform teams
• Own delivery and set priorities across engineering teams
• Define technical direction for cloud infrastructure and architecture
• Balance platform investment with infrastructure and architectural debt
• Establish workflows and guardrails for AI-assisted engineering
• Hire engineers and raise organisational engineering standards
