Principal AI Product Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Boston, Massachusetts, with three days per week in the office. U.S. work authorization is required.

Annual base salary: $152,000–$283,000 USD, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.

What you will do

• Design and ship internal knowledge systems, decision-making surfaces, dashboards, catalogs, and agent-builder interfaces.
• Map how data flows across the company and expose the right information to each audience.
• Create patterns and interfaces for teams to compose, register, and govern internal agents.
• Prioritize and deliver a portfolio of small internal products based on company-wide requests and leverage.
• Decide which capabilities belong in a shared platform and which should remain with individual teams.
• Partner with the technical infrastructure counterpart on the internal AI platform and experience layer.

Requirements

• Strong design instincts combined with the ability to ship and merge production code without handoffs.
• Strong experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind, and shadcn/ui or an equivalent component system.
• Experience with agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor.
• Product judgment, prioritization skills, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to manage multiple internal products.
• Systems thinking about data architecture, centralization, decentralization, and information access.
• Ability to work from the Boston office three days per week and authorization to work in the U.S.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AWS, including Cognito, Bedrock, and CDK.
