What you will do

• Transform loosely defined, ambitious concepts into reliable technical prototypes.
• Push the limits of current AI capabilities and anticipate future industry trends.
• Collaborate with a small group of experienced researchers to scope and execute risky bets.
• Act as a subject matter expert to determine the technical feasibility of AI ideas across the organization.
• Manage the end-to-end AI development lifecycle, from research and prototyping to MVP and maintenance.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software development, applied science, or machine learning (or equivalent degree/experience combination).
• Must be based in the United States.
• Proven track record of creating rapid prototypes that enable stakeholder decision-making.
• Experience identifying research goals in ambiguous situations and executing without explicit direction.

Nice to have

• Deep understanding of the AI landscape as it affects the software development industry.
• Experience with frontend (React, TypeScript), backend, infra, or distributed systems.
• Significant experience contributing to open-source software and communities.
• Background in human-computer interaction or programming language design.
