Sr. IT Systems Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Boston, Massachusetts; attendance in the Boston office 3 days per week is required. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Annual base salary: $89,000–$164,000 USD, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.

What you will do

• Automate identity, access, onboarding, and offboarding workflows using Microsoft Entra, SCIM, SAML, HRIS, and internal ticketing integrations.
• Build and maintain a Jira Service Management request portal with structured forms, approvals, and knowledge articles.
• Manage macOS devices with Jamf, including compliance baselines, security controls, zero-touch deployment, and lifecycle operations.
• Provision and support Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, personal and team agents, automations, and MCP connectors within established security policies.
• Automate high-volume IT and People Ops workflows with Python, APIs, and low-code tools.
• Administer Microsoft 365/Entra, Slack, Jira/Confluence, Zoom, Salesforce, and email security configurations including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in IT systems engineering and SaaS operations.
• Strong experience with identity, SSO, provisioning workflows, Microsoft Entra, SCIM, and SAML.
• Experience supporting LLM-powered tools and agents, including access provisioning, troubleshooting, automation support, and safe policy-aligned use.
• Knowledge of SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and email security standards.
• Proficiency with Jamf and macOS endpoint management.
• Experience automating workflows with Python, APIs, or low-code tools and administering Microsoft 365, Slack, and Jira/Confluence.

Nice to have

• 7+ years of experience in IT systems engineering and SaaS operations.
• Exposure to AWS, Twilio, or modern SaaS infrastructure for internal systems.
• Experience with SOC 2 or ISO-aligned environments, audit evidence, access reviews, SaaS license optimization, and cost management.
