CIB Sales-EAF Associate

Location: Spain, based out of the Madrid office, with a hybrid working model combining remote and onsite days.

What you will do

• Support the origination and execution of ECA-covered Export and Agency Finance transactions.
• Contribute to client pitches, opportunity screening, business development, and coordination with bankers and export credit agencies.
• Coordinate stakeholders across Risk, Legal, Compliance, E&S, Syndication, Middle Office, and Project Finance.
• Prepare marketing, credit, and internal materials with strong analytical content and professional presentation standards.
• Manage transaction execution through business approvals, risk reviews, legal sign-off, structuring, and documentation.
• Support complex financing solutions and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in advisory or lending roles within Structured Finance, Project Finance, or Export Finance.
• Solid understanding of Export Finance, non-recourse financing structures, and related legal and contractual frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Engineering.
• Mandatory English proficiency.
• Strong structured finance fundamentals, transaction risk assessment, and ability to analyze contractual, commercial, and technical issues.
• Strong interdisciplinary, communication, organizational, process management, PowerPoint, and presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Spanish, French, German, or another additional language.
• Financial modeling skills.
