Developmental Technician, Facility Services HVAC/R (HVAC/R)

Location: Onsite at 2875 E State St, Salem, Ohio, United States

Salary: $26.00–$51.00 per hour, with possible premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.

What you will do

• Maintain and repair store facilities, equipment, fixtures, and assets using multiple craft skills.
• Perform inspections, testing, operation, cleaning, repairs, and issue diagnosis for facilities and equipment.
• Use the work order management system to receive reactive repair orders and document completed work.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls supporting stores and associates.
• Complete required training and perform primary responsibilities under the direct supervision of an experienced technician.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Hold and maintain Universal or Type I and Type II EPA refrigerant-handling certification; obtain EPA 608 Certification within 90 days of hire.
• Have a valid state-issued driver's license and pass a motor vehicle report.
• Meet one experience option: one year in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related area, or two years of Walmart store experience.
• Maintain the required commercial driving record, including no recent DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions, no more than two moving violations in the last three years, and no preventable commercial motor vehicle accidents in the last three years.
• Lift up to 50 pounds, frequently use ladders and work at heights, remain seated or standing for extended periods, and work in varying temperatures.

Nice to have

• Mechanical maintenance or construction experience involving commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and common office software.
