Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration (HVAC)

Location: Onsite at 7401 Interstate Highway 30, Greenville, Texas, United States

Salary: $29.00–$58.00 per hour, plus a $10,000 sign-on incentive and possible hourly premiums of $0.35–$3.00.

What you will do

• Install, configure, calibrate, and repair commercial and industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork and control panels.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues and implement effective repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime.
• Maintain racks, walk-ins, reach-ins, and other refrigeration units in accordance with EPA 608 protocols.
• Lead and mentor field technicians on technical procedures and safety practices.
• Coordinate service calls, document refrigerant usage and maintenance activities, operate company vehicles, and participate in on-call rotations.

Requirements

• Commercial or industrial HVAC/refrigeration installation, maintenance, and repair experience.
• Either a vocational or technical HVAC/R certification plus 2 years of relevant experience, or 4 years of relevant experience.
• Type I and Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling is required.
• Ability to interpret layout plans, schematics, wiring diagrams, and building codes; knowledge of OSHA standards.
• Experience leading teams and mentoring less-experienced technicians, with strong communication and service coordination skills.
• A valid state-issued driver’s license and compliant commercial driving record are required.

Nice to have

• Completion of a two-year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the city or state where the job is located.
• Experience with office software, blueprints, schematics, hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
