Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration (HVAC-Refrigeration)

Location: Onsite in Winfield, Kansas, United States

Salary: $29.00–$58.00 per hour, with possible hourly premiums of $0.35–$3.00.

What you will do

• Maintain and repair commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment and facility assets.
• Use hand tools, power tools, digital tools, testing equipment, and other equipment to complete repairs.
• Receive repair work orders, support stores and associates, and document completed activities in the work order management system.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls and diagnose issues by inspecting, operating, and testing equipment.
• Complete required safety training and follow OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart refrigeration and HVAC safety procedures.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, and work frequently at heights.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of commercial refrigeration and HVAC maintenance experience, or 4 years of relevant mechanical maintenance or construction experience.
• Large-scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Type I and Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state-issued driver's license, clean commercial driving record, and ability to pass an MVR report.
• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent; HVAC-R or mechanical journeyman qualification where required.
• Ability to work safely with tools, equipment, ladders, heights, and heavy loads.

Nice to have

• Completion of a two-year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the city or state where the job is located.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using office software, hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
