Senior Technician, Facility Services, HVAC/Refrigeration (HVAC/Refrigeration)

Location: Onsite at 5550 E Woodmen Rd, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80920, United States

Hourly wage: $35.00–$70.00 per hour, with possible premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour and an eligible bonus incentive.

What you will do

• Maintain and repair commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment and facility assets.
• Diagnose issues by inspecting, operating, and testing equipment, fixtures, and systems.
• Receive repair work orders, document completed activities, and support stores and associates through the work order management system.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Complete required safety training and follow OSHA and EPA regulations, Walmart refrigeration HVAC safety policies, and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, use ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in HVAC and grocery rack refrigeration, with the required experience pathway ranging from 3 to 6 years depending on qualifications; the role summary also references 10 years of commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance experience.
• Large-scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Type I and Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• HVAC-R or mechanical journeyman qualification where required.
• Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report; commercial driving record restrictions apply.
• High school diploma or equivalent and ability to lift 75 pounds and work at heights.

Nice to have

• Completion of a two-year technical or vocational HVAC/R program or an associate degree in air conditioning and refrigeration.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and office productivity software.
• Experience with glycol and CO2 systems.
