Senior Go Developer

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $120,000–$170,000 annually

What you will do

• Design and build high-performance backend services, infrastructure tooling, and cloud-native applications in Go.
• Develop production gRPC and REST APIs and contribute to shared, multi-team codebases.
• Build Kubernetes-native components, including operators and controllers.
• Analyze latency, concurrency, debugging, and operational-efficiency challenges in production systems.
• Collaborate with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to turn ambiguous requirements into reliable solutions.
• Raise engineering standards through code reviews, design reviews, documentation, and mentorship.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen, Green Card holder, EAD holder, or H-1B transfer candidate.
• New H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience with significant Go experience.
• Strong knowledge of Go concurrency patterns, including goroutines, channels, and contexts.
• Experience with Kubernetes-native development, relational and key-value data stores, distributed systems, networking, CI/CD pipelines, container-based deployment, debugging, and performance engineering.

Nice to have

• Open-source contributions to Go-based projects.
• Experience writing Kubernetes operators or controllers.
• Familiarity with eBPF, service mesh, or low-level systems programming.
• Experience with security-sensitive Go projects, WASM, TinyGo, or embedded systems.
