Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote, United States

Salary: USD $124,000–$329,200 per year, plus potential bonus, stock, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate Sessions and Tasks APIs in Go using Azure CosmosDB, Azure Blob Storage, and Event Hubs.
• Develop the agent registry and remote steering model, including organization, enterprise, SSO, and managed-host authorization policies.
• Drive specification-first API design, OpenAPI changes, server binding generation, and schema coordination across client and platform teams.
• Write architecture decision records and design proposals for capabilities such as the Agent Host Protocol, secure token relay, and unified agent steering.
• Deliver staged, feature-flagged rollouts across dotcom, GHES, and Proxima tenants.
• Provide technical leadership through design reviews, mentoring, pairing, code reviews, and collaboration on distributed systems, infrastructure, security, and service health.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering or equivalent experience, with qualifying degree alternatives accepted.
• At least 3 years of experience with Go or Ruby.
• At least 3 years of experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• At least 3 years building and operating distributed backend systems, including API design, data modeling, and production ownership.
• At least 2 years designing and evolving public or partner-facing APIs, including versioning and backward compatibility.
• Experience with production software development in one or more languages such as Go, Ruby, C++, Java, C#, JavaScript, Rust, or Python.
