Production Supervisor, Assembly (Lithium-Ion Batteries)

Location: Onsite in De Soto, Kansas, United States. D Shift: 6:45 PM–7:30 AM on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday. Candidates must have valid authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction.

What you will do

• Lead daily night-shift assembly operations in a high-volume, 24/7 manufacturing environment.
• Achieve production, quality, cost, and delivery targets while maintaining standardized work instructions.
• Plan work schedules, assign tasks, and directly supervise skilled machine technicians.
• Drive Lean manufacturing, 6S, SQDCP initiatives, and data-driven process improvements.
• Train, onboard, coach, and mentor employees on SOPs, SWIs, safety procedures, and PPE use.
• Investigate quality issues, contain defects, implement corrective actions, and support PFMEA and control-plan activities.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• At least 3 years of progressive leadership experience in a high-volume, 24/7 manufacturing environment, or 2 years as a PECNA Process Lead.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, 6S, continuous improvement, problem-solving, and operational decision-making.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Working-level English proficiency is required, as well as unrestricted U.S. work authorization.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or higher and OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification.
• Five or more years of leadership experience in lithium-ion, electronics, chemical, or regulated manufacturing.
• Experience with PFMEA, control plans, root-cause analysis, ERP/MES systems, or SQDCP metrics.
• Bilingual or multilingual skills, such as Japanese or Spanish.
