Operations Manager - Service Shop (Transportation) (Fleet Maintenance)

Location: On-site at 3200 IL Highway 89, Spring Valley, Illinois, United States

Annual salary: $104,000–$156,000, plus performance-based bonuses and possible regional pay zone and stock compensation.

What you will do

• Implement business plans to achieve service shop production, quality, and safety goals.
• Forecast staffing needs, manage workloads, and monitor performance against business demands.
• Track productivity and compliance, prepare business reports, and identify operational improvements.
• Supervise shop associates and leaders, providing direction, feedback, training, and development.
• Oversee service shop operations in accordance with state and federal regulations and Walmart quality and safety standards.

Requirements

• Experience in operations and expense management within a service shop or fleet maintenance environment.
• Proven performance management and regulatory compliance experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field and 3 years of fleet maintenance or related experience, or 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong leadership, judgment, decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Experience supervising associates.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business.
• ASE certification.
