What you will do

• Lead multiple software engineering teams developing, modernizing, and supporting trading platform applications and services.
• Define and execute cloud modernization strategies using AWS and enterprise platform technologies.
• Partner with Architecture, Product, Data, Infrastructure, and business stakeholders to align technology investments with strategic objectives.
• Drive the design, development, and deployment of scalable, resilient, secure cloud-native and hybrid platform solutions.
• Establish engineering standards, modernization frameworks, software delivery processes, and governance practices.
• Improve platform reliability, performance, availability, disaster recovery, automation, and engineering productivity.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of leadership experience overseeing software engineering teams, technology delivery, and engineering best practices.
• At least 3 years of experience designing, deploying, or supporting AWS-based cloud solutions and modern cloud architectures.
• At least 5 years of experience with distributed systems, messaging platforms, event-driven architectures, or related applications using C#, Java, or Python.
• At least 7 years of experience supporting highly available, scalable, and performance-sensitive application platforms.
• Experience in financial services, capital markets, trading technology, wealth management, fintech, or another regulated industry.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, ECS, EKS, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, Route 53, EFS, and EBS.
• Experience with Kafka, enterprise messaging, event streaming, or distributed integration architectures.
• Experience with trading platforms, brokerage operations, advisor technology, or capital markets systems.
• Experience leading cloud migration, platform modernization, and transformation initiatives.
• Experience building self-service engineering platforms, automation frameworks, or developer enablement capabilities.
