Senior Engineering Manager (Agentic AI)

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Annual salary: $250,200–$300,000 USD, plus performance incentives and equity participation.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, recruit, and retain software and AI engineers.
• Build Agentic AI platforms using AI agents, memory systems, orchestration frameworks, and autonomous workflows.
• Design resilient, highly available distributed services for large-scale deployments and high-throughput workloads.
• Partner with AI/ML teams on training, deployment, evaluation, and operationalization of LLM, VLM, and multimodal models.
• Drive edge-to-cloud architecture connecting cameras, sensors, distributed compute, and cloud services.
• Translate product strategy into technical roadmaps while improving reliability, observability, AI evaluation, and developer productivity.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years managing and growing engineering teams.
• Experience building and deploying AI-driven systems, including machine learning models, LLMs, multimodal AI, recommendation systems, or agentic architectures.
• Strong experience designing scalable distributed systems and cloud-native services for edge devices and high event volumes.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, APIs, and large-scale backend systems; proficiency in Python, Go, C++, or Java.
• Familiarity with MLOps, model deployment pipelines, evaluation frameworks, observability, and inference optimization.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, Data Science, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with computer vision, large vision models, or multimodal systems.
• Experience deploying AI models to edge hardware such as NVIDIA Jetson.
• Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangGraph, MCP frameworks, vector databases, and inference platforms.
• Experience with AI safety, guardrails, evaluation frameworks, and memory systems.
