Maintenance Technician - Level 4 - Formation C-Shift (Days -Thurs, Fri, Sat & Rotating Wed) (EV Battery Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in De Soto, Kansas, United States. C-shift days: 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday. Rotating shifts and overtime may be required.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, repair, disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of motors, pneumatic tools, conveyors, production machines, and other equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues using diagnostic tools, precision instruments, technical manuals, drawings, and schematics.
• Monitor equipment settings, HMIs, sensors, gauges, and system performance to maintain operating specifications.
• Analyze equipment performance, support root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime.
• Document maintenance work in CMMS and After Action Reviews while supporting Standard Work and Total Productive Maintenance activities.
• Guide and train Level 3 and peer Level 4 technicians and collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, vendors, and contractors.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or two years of prior experience in the functional area.
• At least three years of relevant maintenance or technical experience; six or more years is preferred.
• Working knowledge of mechanical and basic electrical systems, including electrical theory fundamentals.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment with minimal supervision and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and hydraulic or pneumatic diagrams.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to perform standard calculations.
• Working-level English reading, writing, and speaking skills required. Valid authorization to work in the United States without restriction is required.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or higher in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• PLC training and experience, Total Productive Maintenance experience, Lean Manufacturing Certification or Yellow Belt, or Journeyman Certification.
• PECNA-approved technical training and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
