Skilled Machine Technician - Level 1 (EV & Energy Storage)

Location: Onsite in De Soto, Kansas, United States. All candidates must have unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.

What you will do

• Operate, recover, and shut down automated high-speed lithium-ion battery production machinery according to SOPs and work instructions.
• Monitor machine parameters, production status, and operational performance to support continuous production and product quality.
• Diagnose equipment errors and assist Maintenance Technicians with basic preventive maintenance.
• Complete production reports, inspection records, deviation records, and material or spare-parts requests.
• Perform visual quality checks and image inspections while reporting quality deviations and non-conformances.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, supervisors, and shift leaders during troubleshooting and production transitions.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or two years of prior experience in the functional area.
• 0–1 years of prior experience in the functional area.
• Proficient English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills are required.
• Prior exposure to a manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including extended standing and frequent movement of loads up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to meet mandatory PPE, respirator fit-testing, safety, and Lockout/Tagout requirements.

Nice to have

• 1–2 years of experience in the functional area.
• Standard Work and Job Instruction training, including familiarity with Kaizen and Standard Work Improvement activities.
• Proficiency with hand tools, technical instructions, and quality control.
