Technician I Assembly Nights, D-Shift (7PM-7AM)

Location: Sparks, Nevada, United States; onsite, D Shift from 7PM to 7AM

Panasonic Energy of North America manufactures cylindrical lithium-ion cells for Tesla electric vehicles and energy storage systems at a large battery factory near Reno, Nevada.

What you will do

• Monitor machine settings, gauges, sensors, and operating conditions to identify abnormalities.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, oil changes, and parts replacement.
• Troubleshoot and restore production machinery, including mechanical and pneumatic adjustments and error-code recovery.
• Use hand tools, power tools, electric meters, and material-handling equipment.
• Report equipment faults and defective materials, support machine and process modifications, and improve production efficiency.
• Partner with operators on cleaning, minor repairs, and machine adjustments while maintaining accurate maintenance records.

Requirements

• Some high school education required; a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is preferred.
• Working-level English proficiency required for reading, writing, and speaking.
• Ability to work onsite on the D Shift, from 7PM to 7AM.
• Must have valid authorization to work in the United States without restriction.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 35 pounds and team-lift heavier items.
• Pre-employment drug testing is required.

Nice to have

• At least two years of production or manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Resilience, self-motivation, and alignment with Panasonic’s core principles.
