Electrical Technician (EV & Energy Storage)

What you will do

• Support electrical engineering activities including testing, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of electrical systems.
• Perform electrical preventive maintenance for 24/7 plant operations, including grounding, bonding, cable management, and panel inspections.
• Provide on-call support involving breaker resets, lockout/tagout confirmation, zero-volt verification, and planned system or line shutdowns.
• Troubleshoot and modify high-power electrical systems rated at 480VAC and above, including conduit, grounding, bonding, and cable or wire pulls.
• Work from schematics, wiring diagrams, layouts, written instructions, and defined plans to test and troubleshoot systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and electromechanical control systems up to 480VAC in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of electrical hardware, schematics, wiring diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to work 12-hour day or night shifts supporting 24/7 battery manufacturing operations.
• Strong documentation and collaboration skills, including cooperation with overseas departments.
• Working-level English is required, including reading, writing, and speaking; valid authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction is required.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of manufacturing electrical technician experience in maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of wiring, cabling, grounding, shielding, terminations, and load or temperature requirements.
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 70 and 79, ISA standards, hazardous locations, and 480VAC panel installations.
• PECNA QET certification for internal candidates.
