Sr. Production Manager - Operations Control (Electrode)

Location: Onsite in Sparks, Nevada, United States. Monday–Friday day shift; minimal business travel. Valid authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction is required.

Compensation includes an annual performance-based bonus; no fixed salary amount is stated.

What you will do

• Lead Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People performance for Operations Control in the electrode department.
• Establish and sustain daily operations-control cadences across hourly boards, command-center routines, production-control boards, and escalation processes.
• Drive plan-versus-actual visibility, structured recovery actions, shift handoffs, and issue closure.
• Implement standard work and reporting discipline across ERP, MES, traceability, and other operational systems.
• Partner with Supply Chain and PMO to translate production plans into executable schedules, manage constraints, and ensure SOP readiness.
• Lead the Production Manager for Inventory Control and the Production Manager for Planning & PMO while maintaining inventory thresholds and healthy WIP.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations control, production control, materials or inventory control, or supply chain execution.
• Experience running daily management systems, including plan-versus-actual reviews, escalation routines, issue tracking, and accountable closure.
• Experience with inventory governance and transactional discipline in ERP/MES environments.
• Must have valid, unrestricted U.S. work authorization.
• Ability to work onsite in Sparks, Nevada and comply with workplace PPE and physical requirements.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Business Administration or Science.
• Lean/continuous-improvement or project-management certification.
• Experience in high-speed, high-volume, regulated, or traceable manufacturing environments.
