Production Supervisor III (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Plan, organize, and direct manufacturing activities for specific plant areas.
• Provide process and team support for complex manufacturing operations while meeting safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Lead manufacturing units with at least 100 total reports and serve as interim Focus Factory Manager when needed.
• Lead at least two Green Belt projects annually and support Lean Six Sigma projects led by less senior supervisors.
• Mentor supervisors and facilitate the development and training of supervisors and hourly employees.
• Sponsor customer and dealer plant visits and drive major employee involvement and change initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience, including a minimum of 2 years in both feeder and assembly departments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver effective presentations.
• Demonstrable knowledge of manufacturing principles and processes.
• Green Belt certification in Six Sigma, Lean training, Leadership Skills training, and OSHA/STOP training.
• Completion of IRU courses in interpersonal skills, team leadership, roadmap for change, business acumen, and leader-level people management.
• External candidates must have completed or be completing an advanced degree; internal candidates must be completing a degree.
