Engineer II (Mechanical Refrigeration)

Location: Cienega de Flores, Mexico; hybrid

Company

Hussmann designs refrigeration products, including unit coolers, freezers, condensing units, remote condensers, and fluid coolers.

What you will do

• Create structural and piping designs, component drawings, specifications, and 3D models.
• Review and update product, parts, mechanical, piping, wiring, and instructional documentation.
• Support manufacturing and quality teams in building and testing products according to engineering specifications.
• Provide engineering definitions for updates to BAAN, AutoCD, and CPQ tools.
• Develop technical knowledge across mechanical engineering, thermodynamics, and electrical engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• More than 2 years of experience with mechanical refrigeration components, implementation, validation, and related applications.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Hands-on experience with refrigeration, HVAC, or related mechanical components and validation of components, subcomponents, and piping.
• Ability to create and edit 3D drawings from scratch using CAD tools, with experience in Solid Edge, AutoCAD, or similar software.
• Knowledge of bill of materials structures, engineering change processes, refrigeration system design, and electrical and electronic component functionality.
