Focus on solving moderately complex process and equipment problems, leading root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions, and supporting equipment upgrades and commissioning.

Location: Onsite in De Soto, Kansas, United States. Valid authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction is required.

hirify.global produces lithium-ion batteries and is expanding a high-volume battery manufacturing facility supporting sustainable energy and electric vehicles.

What you will do

  • Optimize manufacturing processes, equipment reliability, throughput, and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze processes using time studies, capability analysis, process mapping, SPC, and other data-driven methods.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures, work instructions, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
  • Lead root cause analysis and solve process, quality, and equipment issues using structured problem-solving methods.
  • Lead small projects and workstreams, including equipment upgrades, process changes, commissioning, and validation activities.
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, controls, and engineering teams while supporting junior engineers and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, mechanical, industrial, electrical, mechatronics engineering, or a closely related STEM field.
  • At least 2 years of relevant engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on understanding of manufacturing engineering principles and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Experience with root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, SPC, capability studies, or similar quality tools.
  • Ability to work independently, lead small projects, interpret technical documentation, and collaborate across functional teams.
  • Working-level English proficiency is required, including reading, writing, and speaking.

Nice to have

  • Four or more years of experience in high-volume manufacturing, particularly lithium-ion batteries, electronics, automotive, or energy storage.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, CMfgT, CMfgE, OSHA 30-Hour General Industry Certification, or related automation, controls, PLC, or industrial systems training.
  • Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, fixtures, jigs, tooling, equipment modifications, MES, sensors, and control strategies.
  • Master’s degree in a related engineering field.
