Location: Onsite in Sparks, Nevada, United States. All candidates must have valid authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction.

What you will do

  • Improve electrode and cell manufacturing processes by reducing defects, scrap, cost, and production losses.
  • Support new material and model introductions, specification validation, new line setup, and process conversion activities.
  • Troubleshoot chronic production and equipment issues, identify root causes, and implement effective countermeasures.
  • Monitor and audit manufacturing processes to ensure product specifications, quality, safety, and productivity standards are achieved.
  • Develop standard work instructions, SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and train manufacturing operators on revised processes or tooling.
  • Coordinate process and machine improvement activities with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams, including industrial automation support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Materials, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar discipline.
  • 2–4 years of process or manufacturing engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with process development and improvement, machine and process troubleshooting, root cause analysis, data analysis, tolerancing, and manufacturing process instructions.
  • Ability to identify critical process parameters and apply structured methods such as FTA and FMEA.
  • Ability to work between the manufacturing floor and office, train operators, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Working-level English proficiency is required, along with unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to have

  • Experience with lithium-ion battery theory or research and development, electrochemistry, solution chemistry, or roll-to-roll processing.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, control strategies, sensor and actuator relationships, industrial data analysis, or manufacturing execution systems.
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing, including batteries or electronic devices.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies and tools.
