AVP, Software Engineer (Fintech)

Salary: $140,500–$234,100 per year

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop technology professionals while building a collaborative, high-performing environment.
• Oversee the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and support of enterprise technology solutions.
• Partner with business stakeholders to define priorities and translate requirements into scalable, secure technical solutions.
• Manage project planning, resource allocation, budgeting, risk mitigation, and execution.
• Contribute to technology strategy, roadmap development, platform modernization, and operational excellence.
• Maintain technology governance, cybersecurity, incident management, business continuity, and disaster recovery practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of progressive technology experience, including 3+ years in leadership, management, or team-lead roles.
• Experience leading technology teams, projects, software delivery, or infrastructure initiatives.
• Experience with software development lifecycle methodologies and modern technology delivery practices.
• Experience with cloud technologies, enterprise applications, data platforms, or AI-enabled productivity tools.
• Role location: Fort Mill/Charlotte, United States.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related technical or business discipline.
• Experience with Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, SQL, NoSQL, data warehousing, or enterprise data platforms.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Background in financial services, fintech, wealth management, banking, or other regulated industries.
